leAD Lake Nona Academy is a 6-month program for sports and wellness start-ups. Next round of applications for the program is approaching in April, which will result in choosing the start-up companies on June 3-4, which will be joining the new season. Last week, MyGames also received an invitation from the leAD team to apply.
Lake Nona (Orlando, FL) is being dubbed as the next Silicon Valley but in the sport and health field. Lake Nona community is the epicenter of innovation, catalyst for economic growth and opportunity. Lake Nona has become a destination for industry leaders looking to be a part of this collaborative performance ecosystem. leAD raises a lot of eyebrows, especially the campus area, where one can find Adidas performance center, the US Tennis Association with the world’s largest tennis center (100 tennis courts) and more.
Inspired by Adi Dassler, leAD launched its first program in 2017. Right now, the program includes over 200 mentors, partners and investors. Their portfolio has almost 40 startup companies. They invest in the most promising startups and are responsible for early-stage investments and portfolio management.
